I’ve been launching products on WarriorPlus and JVZoo for about 15 years. I’m stopping. Watching my daughter Stephanie’s launch up close, and counting every WarriorPlus launch from September for LaunchWatch, convinced me I was spending too much time and too many resources there. Here’s what the numbers showed and where my time is going instead.
Stephanie’s last launch did $12,077.45 from 386 sales in five days.
It was a good launch. I helped with the affiliate outreach, I added a bonus tool mid-launch, and I watched every number from the inside for the case study.
And by the end of it, I’d decided to stop doing launches like that myself.
Two weeks ago I wrote why I do both: launch on WarriorPlus, then go monthly. I still think a launch can fund a monthly product. But for me, right now, the cost of doing launches is too high. Here’s why.

What a launch actually takes

A launch looks like five days. The real work runs for weeks.
Before it there’s the product, the funnel, the sales pages, the JV page, review access, bonuses, a contest, and weeks of affiliate outreach. During it there’s the leaderboard, the emails, the mid-launch changes, the support. After it there’s the refunds and the follow-up.
These launches are really time consuming. They suck up a lot of time.
And at the end, half of the money goes to affiliates. Commission is 50%, and on Stephanie’s launch the affiliates on the leaderboard brought in 53% of the revenue.
What 317 WarriorPlus launches told me
For LaunchWatch we counted every launch on WarriorPlus in September. 317 of them.

- The typical launch made very little. The median launch took about $173 (a floor figure from the sales bands).
- 249 of the 317 launches made under $1,000. Only 5 made over $10,000.
- The money is concentrated. The 21 launches picked as Deal of the Day took 58% of all the revenue. The median picked launch took about $6,230, and the median launch that wasn’t picked took about $143.
So a launch can still do well. But most don’t, and the ones that do take a huge amount of work for a one-off result.
Then you have to do it all again next month.
The buyers are real. So is the bottleneck.

I want to be fair to WarriorPlus and JVZoo. The products are not all bad. They really aren’t.
The people who buy there buy a lot. They can buy several products a week. That’s why creators launch there: the real goal is a list of buyers, and most product creators make more from affiliate promotions to that list than from their own launches.
But a lot of those buyers get stuck. They buy, they forget, they move on to the next shiny thing. Or they try, hit a bottleneck, and never put the product to work.
That’s the problem I wanted to solve with Aha Studio, and you can’t solve it with one more five-day launch.
Where my time goes now

Three things:
- Aha Studio. One product, with every new AI worker I build going into it. I wrote about why I built it.
- Webinars. Live demos where people watch the AI workers build real marketing. That’s how Aha Studio gets sold.
- JVswaps, my webinar promotion platform, so product creators can swap promotions fairly.
And one big shift: social media. I’m better known in JVZoo and WarriorPlus circles than I am on X or YouTube, so I need to make that transition. That means demo videos, about one a day, showing the workers doing real jobs.
If you’re still launching
I’m not telling you to stop. For a lot of people a WarriorPlus launch is still the fastest way to build a list of buyers.
Just go in with your eyes open:
- Count the hours, not just the days the launch is open.
- Plan for half the revenue to go to affiliates.
- Look at the median launch, not the leaderboard. Most launches are nowhere near the top.
- Know what the buyers list is for, and have the next step ready.
My Take: Watching Stephanie’s launch and going through our LaunchWatch numbers convinced me that I’m wasting time and resources on WarriorPlus launches. I’ve done this for a very long time and I know how to run a good launch. That’s exactly why I can see what it costs. The best use of my time now is getting webinars for Aha Studio and promoting JVswaps, and putting all the energy I used to spend on launch prep into building AI workers and showing people what they do. If your launches feel like a treadmill, it’s worth asking what one product you’d build if you never had to launch again.
